Reinstalling QuickBooks will reset all preferences to default, so if none of the other methods work, it should resolve your issues. You should be able to resume receiving mail.

You may download the installer for your version of QuickBooks after uninstalling QuickBooks from the add or remove programs box.

Note: Remember that you won’t be carrying your license number with you. The original packaging or the buy confirmation email should contain it if you bought a digital version.

Bonus Method: Antivirus Preferences

Something in your antivirus software can prevent Quickbooks from using the internet to send emails. Setting preference will thus work for you as well.

Just grant QuickBooks the appropriate rights, that’s all. Either manually alter your system permissions or update the settings in your antivirus program.
