Dell Inspiron 3668 i5 comes with Windows 10 preinstalled. Also, let me break it to you that you will not be able to utilize the Dell Inspiron 3668 with Windows 11. Modern device drivers cleared the Windows Hardware Compatibility Program for Windows 11 are required for new Windows 11 devices. Can it still run Windows 11? It’s possible; however, the machine doesn’t appear on Dell’s list of tested Windows 11 desktops, and the CPU is older than Generation 8.
Window 11 does not support all Intel 7th Gen CPUs or earlier. Dell examined the compatibility of each model with Windows 11 before releasing them. The drivers won’t get updated for that model, and Dell won’t support it if your device isn’t on the list provided by Dell.
Therefore, the Dell Inspiron 3668 does not comply with the specifications for Windows 11. However, anyone can still download the official Windows 11 and manually install the OS to test.
Dell can no longer renew, upgrade, or extend the service life of your Dell Inspiron 3668 i5 since it has reached the end of its service life. If you purchase a new one off the market, the status of the support services is also currently expired.

Six years ago, the Dell Inspiron 3668 i5 got introduced. At the time, with my Dell Inspiron 3668 i5 review, it was definitely the choice I would suggest relatively easily, given all the customizability options and specifications. Since the graphics card is a PC gamer’s priority, the Dell Inspiron 3668 can run four different types of graphics cards. It is reasonably capable of performing well in older AAA Titles games. However, this pre-built gaming PC cannot handle today’s AAA titles requiring modern power processors. Overall, the Dell Inspiron 3668 boasts a well-designed, performance-uncompromising design that reasonably falls short of the Dell Alienware PC.
If we go back a few years, this should be a gem for the ordinary and enthusiastic user searching for a cheap desktop with remarkable performance. But, it isn’t worth the purchase today because it has already reached the end of its service life and gets no longer serviced by Dell.
