When comparing laptops in the past, I discovered that Dell laptops are good if you need something to handle high-demand programs and wish to invest in a long-lasting laptop. On the other side, Lenovo develops high-quality goods focusing on cost. You won’t find a better laptop for the same price, but they won’t perform well as a Dell.

It outperforms the Surface Laptop 4 and Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 3 but falls short of Apple’s next-generation MacBook Pro. The XPS 15 has a clock speed of 2.88 GHz and 92 degrees Celsius on average. It is the laptop to acquire if you want something for general work, Multitasking, and media consumption – especially with the stunning OLED display.
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro comes in two flavors: an Nvidia RTX 3060 (6GB GDDR6 VRAM, 130W TGP) and another with an RTX 3070 (8GB VRAM, 130W TGP). Both laptops use the same AMD Ryzen 5800H processor with 45W TDP. It’s not just fast, but it’s also highly efficient in low-power environments, making it one of the most sought-after CPUs on the market today. The Legion 5 Pro get equipped with 16GB of RAM, and the Legion has a 512GB SSD. Overall, the Legion 5 Pro was a great laptop, with a buttery smooth performance at maximum settings and resolution. In terms of raw performance, the Legion 5 Pro is competitive with its rivals, notably the Razer Blade 15 Advanced with its Intel i7-11800H processor. It might be a worthwhile investment if you need a powerful PC and can’t build one yourself.
The XPS 15 get not designed for gaming, and many games won’t run correctly, even at the lowest quality settings. The new iGPU’s only benefit is the Tiger Lake generation’s better video decoder, significantly decreasing GPU demand during 4K video reproduction. However, the XPS 15 faltered in graphics tests and gaming simulations. The XPS 15 Pro has a more powerful 86WHr battery. On an OLED model with an 86WHr battery, you can stream for up to 9 hours and 13 minutes, and that isn’t quite class-leading, but it’s close. Even though I never saw more than 10 hours of real-world work, this XPS always had enough battery life to see me through a full day of multitasking processing.
The Legion 5 Pro has an 80 Whr battery that can last up to 8 hours. Device setup and use, software, wifi capabilities, power management settings, and screen brightness all affect battery life. The battery’s maximum capacity will decrease over time as it gets used
When it comes to solid specifications that give exceptional performance for the price, a large, high-res display, and a few additional luxuries, the Legion 5 Pro is the gaming laptop to beat right now. However, this will deplete the battery life, so plan on charging over the day. On the other hand, the Dell XPS 15 is a great option if you’re seeking effective Multitasking with a touchscreen. The inclusion of an OLED screen, on the other hand, may pique the interest of individuals who wish to use it as both a video consumption device and a workhorse.
